In the world of CLAMP, a character's name is often not coincidental; it is usually reflective of a character's personality or holds some significant meaning relevant to the plot of the series.

"Sakura Kinomoto"
Sakura means Cherry Blossom or Cherry Tree in Japanese; Sakura's favourite flower is her namesake.

"Touya Kinomoto"
Tou means Peach in Japanese.

"Fujitaka Kinomoto"
Fujitaka is the name for Japanese Wisteria.
