Below you can find a guide on all the magical items used in Cardcaptor Sakura!
The Clow Cards
The Clow Cards are magical cards created by Clow Reed. Each card possesses it's own unique ability and personality, making them quite powerful. If the cards do not have a master or a not sealed away in the Clow Book, they are free to wreak havoc on the world. Although Clow Reed invested or included his own form of magic within the cards, only someone magically endowed can use the Clow Cards.
The Clow Book
Used to house the deck of Clow Cards, the Clow Book was created by Clow Reed most likely when he had foreseen his imminent passing and the future that awaited his creations. After he died, the Clow Cards were sealed away in the Clow Book to prevent them wreaking havoc on the world and the book could only be opened by someone with some form of magical ability. Years later, the Clow Book was 'found' by Fujitaka, Sakura's father, on an archaeological dig (or so the story goes ;D), who left it sitting in his basement library when the book could not be opened only for it to be found by his daughter that fateful day. The cover of the book is adorned by a gold, ornate illustration of the Guardian of the Cards, Kerberos, with the sun while on the back of the book is an illustration of the other Guardian of the Cards,Yue, with the moon.
The Clow Key
Hanging from Sakura's neck is the Clow Key, which was given to her by Kerberos when she first became Cardcaptor. When Sakura recites an incantation, the Clow Key transforms into the Clow Staff.
The Clow Staff
The Clow Staff is probably the most important item in Sakura's quest for the Clow Cards. Without it, she would not be able to seal the Clow Cards she let escape. It is also the way she dispels the magical ability of the cards, although Clow Reed was able to do this without the assistance of the Clow Staff. When Sakura uses particular Clow Cards, the staff can change. For instance, when she uses the Fly, the staff sprouts wings and Sakura can use it as a flying broom of sorts. Similarly, if Sakura uses the Sword, the staff changes into a sword. When the staff is not being used, it returns to its key state.
The Clow Magic Circle
The Clow Magic Circle is the symbol for Clow Reed's magic and appears on both the Clow Book and the Clow Cards. It also appears beneath Sakura's feet when she is performing magic. In the center of the circle is an ornate sun, which is surrounded by three interlocking squares. To the right of the sun and overlapping it is a circle with a moon. Within the triangles formed by the interlocking squares are the 12 star signs, and at the North, South, East and West points are four Chinese characters. Clow Reed's magic circle is most probably representative of both Eastern and Western magical practices, as Clow Reed is known for having combined the two in order to create a new form of magic.
The Clow (or Moon) Bell
Another magical item created by Clow Reed was the Clow Bell, which found it's way into the possession of Kaho Mizuki, who used it to help Sakura. In the manga, the bell was left behind at the Tsukimine Shrine by Clow Reed, where Kaho found it, while in the anime, Kaho found the bell in England and bought it to Tomoeda. The primary purpose of the bell in the manga was to uncover Sakura's own form of magic by combining with the Clow Staff in order to create the Sakura Staff. In the anime, the Clow Bell was primarily used to give Sakura a second chance at the Final Judgement, after which it disappeared.
Sword
Syaoran is a master swordsman and this is his sword, however, it is no ordinary sword. Syaoran can use it to dispel the Clow Cards he has captured as well as his own magic (ofuda cards). When his sword is not in use, it transforms into a sort of black key ring with a red tassel. To return it to its sword state, Syaoran doesn't require an incantation, instead he just needs to concentrate on it.
Ofuda Cards
These yellow cards with Chinese characters written on them are usually considered to be good luck charms, however Syaoran's ofuda cards are special: they contain magic. He has four different ofuda cards, with each one based on a particular element: wind, water, fire and ligtening. In order to use them, Syaoran requires his sword and incantation. His two most used ofuda cards are wind and lightening.
Lasin Board (or Compass)
Syaoran's Lasin Board or Compass is used to search for the source of magic, particularly that of the Clow Cards but also people. In order to use it, Syaoran needs an incantation and after he recites it, the Lasin Board searches for the source of magic, tracks the power and then emits a blue light to the location of the magic.
The Sakura Cards
Although the Sakura Cards are based of the Clow Cards, they are in fact entirely new cards created using Clow Reed's cards as a base from Sakura's own form of magic: the power of the stars. For this reason, they are even more powerful than Clow Cards. Sakura was required to create the Sakura Cards as she was now their mistress and the power that Clow Reed had invested into the cards was dwindling. If the Clow Cards were not given a new source of power soon, they would loose their magic and turn into normal cards.
The Sakura Book
Just like the Clow Book, the Sakura Book houses the deck of Sakura Cards. One night, Sakura's desk drawer - where the Clow Book - lived began to glow, and when Sakura opened the drawer and took out the book, she saw that it was no longer red with 'Clow' written across the front cover. Of it's own accord, the Clow Book had changed to pink with the word 'Sakura' written across the cover instead. Also, Clow Reed's magical circle was replaced with Sakura's magical circle.
The Sakura (or Star) Key
When Sakura changed the Clow Staff into the Sakura Staff, she also changed the Clow Key into the Sakura Key. The two work in very much the same way: in order to transform the key into the staff, Sakura needs to recite an incantation.
The Sakura (or Star) Staff
The Sakura Staff is essentially the Clow Staff. It was transformed during the Final Judgement when Sakura discovered her own form of magic: the power of the stars. Sakura primarily uses the staff to create the Sakura Cards as well as to dispel them. In order to transform the staff from its key state, it requires the use of an incantation.
The Transformed Sakura (or Star) Staff
The Transformed Sakura Staff was the result of Kerberos and Yue combining with the Sakura Staff during Sakura's final battle with Eriol. Sakura needed to transform the Light and Dark cards in order to defeat Eriol, however, she wasn't quite strong enough to do it by herself. This lead to Kerberos and Yue lending themselves to the staff in order to create a sort of super-Sakura Staff. If Sakura was unsuccessful at transforming the cards however, Kerberos and Yue would become trapped in the staff forever. At first, Sakura did not want to take this risk, but due to everyone's belief in her, she was able to overcome her self-doubt and allow her guardians to help her defeat Eriol.
The Sakura Magic Circle
Sakura's Magic Circle is the symbol of Sakura's magic, and as with Clow's Magic Circle, it appears on the Sakura Cards, the Sakura Book, and when Sakura performs magic during the third season. It is similar in appearance to Clow Reed's Magic Circle, however, it does differ to some degree. For instance, the sun, which is now smaller, is moved to the right of the circle and replaced with two large, 5-point stars. The moon is now moved to the left of the circle and is no longer enclosed by the smaller circle. The three interlocking squares remain as well as the 12 star signs and the four Chinese characters, although their appearance is now somewhat more simplified.
The Sun Key
This is the state that Eriol's Sun Staff takes when it is not in use, much like the Clow and Sakura keys. In order to transform it into the Sun Staff, Eriol must recite an incantation.
The Sun Staff
Why Eriol requires a staff is unknown, as Clow Reed did not require a magical staff to perform magic. Either way, as with the other magical staff's in the series, the Sun Staff begins as a key before being transformed with an incantation. Eriol primarily uses his staff in order to cause strange events to occur as well as to transform Nakuru and Suppi into their alternate forms: Ruby Moon and Spinel Sun. It would appear that unlike Yukito and Kero-chan, who can change into their alternate forms at their own will (provided they have the power to do so), Nakuru and Suppi can only do so with the assistance of Eriol.
