Included in each volume of Cardcaptor Sakura published by Kodansha was a character card insert. That is, a bookmark that resembled either a Clow Card or a Sakura Card but rather than featuring a spirit, the cards featured a character. For the first six volumes (the Clow Card Arc), the character card inserts, as mentioned previously, resembled Clow Cards, while for the the following six volumes (the Sakura Card Arc), the character card inserts resembled Sakura Cards.
