Clow Cards are what make the Cardcaptor Sakura world go round; without them, there is not story to tell. Sakura would have remained a normal, ten-year-old girl going about her day-to-day life, not meeting some of the people who are most important to her. She would not have met Kero-chan, Syaoran and even Yukito. Her life would be very much the same as what she experienced when she failed at the Final Judgement for the first time. In other words, the Clow Cards are central to the plot of Cardcaptor Sakura.
