Bloopers
One aspect of the anime series of Cardcaptor Sakura which is highly regarded is the animation quality. Although the animation is of a high standard, some mistakes still make it through quality control at Madhouse. For instance, there are often a lot of stray marks left on animation cells as well as incorrectly coloured cells and unfinished cells. The staff even make the occasional factual mistake!Spotted a blooper? Email me.

From Episode 01 - "Sakura and the Mysterious Magic Book"
Sakura hands the Windy Card to Kero-chan upside down, however, in the next scene, when Kero puts the card under his arm, it is the correct way up. At no point do you see him turn the card!      
From Episode 09 - "Sakura and the Mysterious Brooch"
Sakura is fighting Rika, who has been possessed by the Sword Card, in her socks. As she recites the incantation to transform the Clow Key into the Clow Staff, you see that she is now, however, wearing shoes although once she has finished reciting the incantation, she is back to wearing just her socks!    From Episode 12 - "Sakura's Endless Day"
As Sakura rushes around her room to get ready for school, you see that she is wearing the Tomoeda Elementary summer school uniform but as she reaches for her hat, you see that she is clearly wearing the Tomoeda Elementary winter school uniform and then as she grabs her school bag, it's back to the summer uniform!   From Episode 14 - "Sakura, Touya and Cinderella"
In the opening sequence of this episode, you see Tomoyo with a pink ribbon in her hair. Moments later, after Sakura's flashback, you see that Tomoyo is now wearing a blue ribbon! |
