Cheerio! would not be the image gallery it is today without the assistance of these resources.
Image Sources
Where possible, images in the gallery have either been scanned or screen captured by myself. However, sometimes this option is not available for whatever reason and in this case, the images have been collected from the following sources*:
Omeg-Anime; Cardcaptor Sakura in .OMG format - perfect for screen capping!
*Not all sources have been listed (*sweat drop*)
Programs
Adobe Photoshop 7 - CS3
The all-mighty photo editing software known as Adobe Photoshop was used to edit images and correct certain things (colours, cropping and so on) as well as creating thumbnails and layouts for Cheerio! If it were not for the Action function of this program, I would have surely gone insane by now from creating thumbnails for the screen captures.
Dreamweaver CS3
Coding 'help' (;D).
BS Player, Quicktime Player, Apple Macintosh Screen Capture Function
Before switching from a PC with Windows XP to an iMac running OSX 10.4, all the screen captures on Cheerio! were taken using the frame-step and screen capture function of BS Player. After the switch, all screen captures were taken using the screen capture function of Macs (Command+Shift+3, how I love you!) while playing the video file in Quicktime Player. It may have been a round-about way to take screen captures, but the task (and what a task it was) was completed with satisfactory results.
Scripts
4Images
On the bottom of each page, you will notice that Cheerio! is powered by 4Images, an image gallery management system. This script is the foundation of this site; without it, Cheerio! would have been an absolute nightmare to create. Rather than having to code every page by hand (a tedious task, I assure you), 4Images took care of the coding and after installing the script, all that was required of me was to upload the images, add them to the database, adjust the settings to my liking, create a layout and away we go!
